MY BIO

Greetings! My name is Richard Seigler. I am currently a student at Rutgers University in the School of Environmental and Biological sciences. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree with a major in Nutritional sciences - Dietetics option and a minor in Psychology. I currently volunteer for the CUMAC food shelter and Rutger's Gardens Farmer's Market. I like to think that day by day, I am evolving and growing into the person I ultimately want to be.

My interest in health and wellness began in my early teens when I decided to lose a considerable amount of weight and change my relationship with food. As time went on, I learned the dos and don'ts of weight loss and began to adopt a health and wellness mindset, learning about nutrients, exercise, and their overall effects on physical and mental health. Early in high school, I took up strength training and decided to go into the nutrition field to help individuals who struggle with weight and have a strained relationship with food and those who are economically disadvantaged.

As time goes on, my interests in health and wellness evolve and change, and my passion only grows as I near my ultimate goal of helping spread the joy of health and wellness. I am excited to see what my future in the nutrition field holds. Please feel free to look at the rest of my site, which contains examples of my college work and extracurricular experiences.
